Landfillart Project is an artistic endeavor that has gone beyond borders, professionals, artists, all to reach a single object: hubcaps. The project started with an idea by Ken Marquis who saw 41 rusted wheel covers while attending an Auto Show near Allentown. He got them all, then bought a thousand more and with the help of his artist friends, Marquis transformed these rusty hubcaps into artistic pieces.

That done, Ken reached out to artists through the internet, asking people from different countries to paint old hubcaps and contribute to the project. Interestingly enough, the response to the project has been encouraging and numerous artists responded to the requests, sending in vintage hubcaps re-done with their style.
