Grass and Moss Graffiti in NYC

With a view of giving the urban jungle a bit of a ‘living’ and ‘natural’ touch, guerrilla street artists Edina Tokodi and József Vályi-tóth created these pieces of unconventional living graffiti. Hailing from the Mosstika Urban Greenery, the artists made use of living grass and moss to give a living touch to their work.

The artists hope to appeal to the most primitive instinct of humans, their desire to live amongst natural surroundings. With each of these gardens they cultivate, the artists hope to ‘collide’ the worlds of art and nature.

By creating these unexpected havens of greenery, the artists hope to give the world a touch of green in an otherwise cold, harsh environment. We think they did a bang-up job with the graffiti, it is quite soothing to see these lovely grassy illustrations on walls.
