Polish photographer Magda Wasiczek captures these stunning photographs and macrophotographs of animals, birds and insects in their natural habitat. The photographs present their subjects in a lovely setting that looks akin to some animated wonderland, but one that is actually very real and happens to move in front of our eyes every second.

In 2010, a toxic spill in western Hungary killed nine people and forced the evacuation of thousands of others. The spill saw about 1 million cubic meters of aluminum sludge flood nearby areas after the retaining wall around one of the reservoirs went down.
